Sam Leach has a natural and easy eloquence which
is the mark of those who know and love their subject matter intensely.
In this case the subject matter is Sam's own experience as a major promoter
of those Liverpool groups who came came to form the Liverpool
Sound-in fact the Liverpool Sound itself is a direct result of Sam's
unflagging efforts to promote those Liverpool musicians who are now
a part of musical legend, in particular The Beatles themselves. Sam
imparts intimate details of this incredible formative period with
